First & foremost;
Beware of offshore imitations, which at first glance may
look similar to real quality but on closer perusal a realization
is made that they lack the real Quality and Integrity
to last many generations. Some of the characteristics
to be observant of would be sub standard timber lacking
consistent grain and strength. Poor quality hardware and
poor slate with a high porosity level can give way to
de lamination, and metal to wood joinery, because of their
opposite inherent characteristics. Many offshore factories
are now using technologies to provide cabinets which appear
to be solid but in reality they are nothing more than
carved frames made from MDF and other like composites.
